On December 4, the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) announced that it would not move forward with its proposed rewrite of the
National Apprenticeship System rules. Earlier this year, AHCA/NCAL submitted comments on the proposal, highlighting concerns about specific proposed changes that could negatively impact the expansion of apprenticeship programs and hinder the recruitment of new sponsors in the long term care (LTC) industry.
