Mark Parkinson Selected as 2021 Hill Top Lobbyist

Advocacy; Awards and Recognition

AHCA/NCAL President & CEO Mark Parkinson has been selected as one this year’s Top Lobbyists by The Hill. The list is published each year and honors stand-out leaders who the nation’s biggest companies, advocacy groups, labor unions, and trade associations turn to when they want their voices heard in the nation’s capital.

Parkinson has been a mainstay on this list since 2013 for his continued commitment to and work on behalf of the long term care (LTC) profession. He has led the industry and AHCA/NCAL through COVID-19, one of the most significant challenges LTC has ever faced. His advocacy efforts led to LTC facilities being given first priority when COVID-19 vaccines became available, as well as release of $25 billion in critical provider relief funding.

Beyond COVID-19, Parkinson has led AHCA/NCAL as active participants in shaping various other health policies that impact the profession. He persistently pursues the association’s mission of “improving lives by delivering solutions for quality care.” He does not believe in simply asking Congress or the Administration to resolve particular issues, but shows up with proposals and plans in-hand for consideration.

The full list of honorees is available on The Hill’s website.
