AHCA/NCAL’s Leadership Academy equips long term care and assisted living facility leaders with the skills needed to build and enhance trust with and between their staff which translates into a more effective team, better outcomes, and less staff turnover.
This program provides 17 unique virtual interactive leadership sessions that provide tools and strategies to build trust, strengthen teams, and improve outcomes across their organizations. The Leadership Academy is ideal for administrators, all clinical and operational leaders, social workers, AITs, as well as future upcoming leaders in your organization who seek to build their leadership skills to motivate staff, increase staff retention, and improve outcomes.
Leadership Academy participants receive a workbook and should plan on attending as many 17 one-hour interactive every other weekly sessions as possible beginning March 24, 2026. Video recordings will be available if you miss a session. Participants will learn through live sessions, reflections, and peer collaboration to:
- Assess the presence of trust in their facility
- Foster a culture of psychological safety
- Address resistance to change and misinformation
- Build trust through active listening and motivational interviewing
- Promote staff wellbeing and engagement
- Identify the impact of inequities in building trust
- Use motivational interviewing techniques
