The Center of Excellence for Behavioral Health in Nursing Facilities (COE-NF) released
new education events for the month of December, with many that offer ACCME (Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education) and National Association of Long-Term Care Administrator Board (NAB) credits.
In addition to the resources and December education events listed below, the COE-NF continues to provide
tailored technical assistance, such as an individualized plan to assist facilities with specific behavioral health needs – including training as needed.
COE-NF also continues to add new
on-demand training videos, including bite-sized learnings and longer video modules with pre/post-tests on a variety of topics. It offers a wide array of resources on a multitude of mental health topics via the
resource hub.

- December 12, 2024: Supporting Healing from Grief and Loss in Nursing Facilities, 2 – 3 pm EST
- December 17, 2024: Holiday Seasonal Depression: Ways to Support Nursing Facility Residents, 2 – 2:30 pm EST
- December 19, 2024: Treating Older Adults in Recovery – Grief and Complex Bereavement in Older Adult Community, 2 – 3 pm EST
- December 20, 2024: Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), 11 am – 4:40 pm EST
