CDC’s Project Firstline Releases Environmental Services Micro-Learn Training

Project Firstline recognizes that environmental services (EVS) workers are vital members of the health care team and are crucial in maintaining a clean and safe health care environment. Because EVS workers are the first line of defense against the spread of germs, Project Firstline has launched a new series of infection control micro-learn training resources that can be easily incorporated into existing team meetings.  

Project Firstline’s EVS Micro-Learns: Essentials for Infection Control is a series of guided infection control discussions that provide brief, on-the-job training for EVS workers in health care settings. Focusing on specific infection control topics relevant to EVS tasks, the micro-learns explain how and why EVS workers play an essential role in infection control to protect patients and save lives.

The EVS Micro-Learn Series includes ready-to-use packaged resources. Each Micro-Learn includes a user guide, discussion guide, and job aid, making the training easy for health care leaders to use and adapt for their teams.
