According to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the Civil Money Penalty Reinvestment Program (CMPRP) is currently paused. The pause is related to the ongoing communication and approval freeze that began in January. The communication and approval freeze affects any proposed programs or project extensions/continuations. CMS notes that they will follow up with any inquiries and/or application status requests as soon as conditions permit them to resume the process.
