AHCA has learned that some facilities are having issues accessing the NHSN component on reporting annual health care provider (HCP) influenza vaccination data. This reporting is required by CMS for SNF Quality Reporting Program (QRP) and the submission deadline is May 15. Failure to report complete data for SNF QRP will result in a 2% reduction in the SNF’s annual rate.
AHCA has contacted the CDC NHSN team and the NHSN has scheduled office hours to answer questions about reporting in the Healthcare Personnel Safety Component. Facilities are only required to submit one report that covers the entire reporting period of October 1, 2022, through March 31, 2023. Facilities must have SAMS Level 3 user to activate the HPS reporting component to submit the required data for SNF QRP.
