The pilot, now scheduled to start later this Fall, will begin small in the state of Maine. Ohio is where the State Veteran Home location will be that is participating in the pilot. The VA is expected to release an official FAQ document and communications plan outlining next steps in the near future.
NCAL is part of a broad coalition of senior advocacy, veterans' service, homeless prevention, and health and aging services organizations that have long supported the bill. NCAL has continued advocacy work with the VA post the bill being signed into law to get to the next step of implementation.
As more details are available, NCAL will continue to keep its provider members informed and support the VA wherever needed on implementation.
